what is an accredited specialist?

Kerry Ward, the principal lawyer of Redlands Injury Law has been accredited by the Queensland Law Society as an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injuries Law in Queensland. So what is an Accredited Specialist? The Queensland Law Society website states:-“Accredited Specialists are solicitors who are recognised as having enhanced skills, superior knowledge, and significant experience and their specific area of law. They are recognised as leaders in the profession and are experienced in delivering exceptional client service. To become an Accredited Specialist, solicitors must successfully undergo a rigorous accreditation program administered by QLS. They must also:• Have a minimum of five years post qualification experience (they often have significantly more experience than this) • Maintain a significant practice in their specialist area of law• Complete additional professional development training each year in their area of lawAccredited Specialists are nationally recognised with the “mark of excellence” for their high levels of competence and knowledge in a specific area of law.”
